BYMA, in line with the best practices of Stock Exchanges around the world, has taken and implemented different initiatives with the aim of fostering corporate governance and sustainability best practices within companies.
This Index, which is not a commercial index, is developed jointly with Inter-American Development Bank – IADB.org technical support and know how, and is based on IndexAmericas methods. This Index aims to identify leading companies within the Capital Market for their sustainability practices, therefore giving them higher visibility at regional and international levels.
BYMA Sustainability Index evaluates Issuers performance based on four main pillars:
- Environmental Impact
- Social Impact
- Corporate Governance
- Development (contribution to the Objectives of Sustainable Development -OSD).
