Methodology

The Merval index calculates the value of a Theoretical Stocks Portfolio in ARS on the basis of stocks selected by their liquidity aspects. This index is composed by a fixed nominal number of stocks of different listed companies (typically known as “leading companies”). The fixed number of stocks held by each listed company is called the constituent´s “Theoretical Quantity” in the index.

The Stocks included in the Merval index are changed every three (3) months, when the theoretical portfolio performance is reassessed based on the traded volume and the number of trades observed over the last six (6) months.
