With a meeting on the building of “Caja de Valores” that included the presentation of the new logo of Caja de Valores in line with BYMA logo, the complete and final integration of BYMA, Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos + Caja de Valores, the Argentine Collective Depository, Custody, Registrar and Paying Agent was presented.

The meeting was held in Caja de Valores offices, it included the presentation of the new logo of Caja de Valores in line with BYMA logo, which represents the values and the history of both organizations.

The vertical integration of Caja de Valores and BYMA will reduce costs and create a more efficient operating cycle with fewer expenses for investors.

Ernesto Allaria assured that Integration is the key word in order to create a more competitive and modern market with higher reach to international markets. Today, BYMA concentrates and includes all the steps of the Argentine Capital Market industry. We think integration consists in forming a whole with the parts that are necessary. BYMA and Caja de Valores are now a whole, with measurable cost benefits and efficiency for all”.

Alejandro Berney added: “This brand integration started to achieve the aims we were looking for: social and economic impact. This is a great opportunity and a big challenge for both organizations; the market can make a significant leap forward in quality and volume. Examples speak for themselves: there was a reduction of 70% in one of the main taxes and we will continue reducing such tax”.

Caja de Valores, founded four decades ago, is the only depositary of the country and acts as central depositary of public bonds and private securities in order to facilitate and guarantee transactions; BYMA is the modernization of the Stock Exchange, it is a new stock exchange market that concentrates all the steps of the Argentine capital market industry, through a vertical integration that includes the listing, trading, registration, settlement, safekeeping with central depository, payment of debts, access to holdings and other pre-trade and post-trade services.

“This path of work and effort is the way to develop a capital market with benefits for all Argentine citizens”, concluded Allaria.
