Caja de Valores is the only central securities depository in Argentina authorized by the National Securities Commission for the collective deposit of securities.

BYMAEDUCA is the Group's educational initiative focused on providing advice and training to Capital Market stakeholders regarding investment and financing alternatives. It focuses on transferring financial sector knowledge to society.

TECVAL

Tecnología de Valores S.A. is a technology company that develops IT solutions for the Capital Markets aimed at providing equal opportunities to all participants.

BYMA History

Formed through the spin-off of Mercado de Valores de Buenos Aires S.A. (MERVAL), created in 1929, and operating under the Capital Markets Law 26,831, BYMA continues MERVAL's activities as the Market, Clearing House, and Central Counterparty.

1854

Establishment of the Capital Market with the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA).

1862

Beginning of direct trading of gold in ounces.

1863

Beginning of foreign currency trading.

1864

Trading in stocks and domestic government securities.

1910

Creation of Mercado de Cereales a Término Sociedad Anónima to settle and guarantee forward grain transactions.

1929

Foundation of Mercado de Títulos y Cambios de la Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires S.A. to settle and guarantee all transactions involving cash, debentures, bills of exchange, and any other security whose listing was authorized by the Stock Exchange.

1945

Creation of Mercado de Valores de Buenos Aires Sociedad Anónima (MERVAL) to replace Mercado de Títulos y Cambios de la Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires S.A., taking on two new functions: regulating trading and registering brokers.

1969

Enactment of Law 17,811 on the Public Offering of Securities, Exchanges, and Markets, under the control of the National Securities Commission, an autonomous agency within the National Executive Branch.

2013

Enactment of Law 26,831 on Capital Markets, superseding Law 17,811.

2016

Creation of BYMA as a result of the spin-off of Mercado de Valores de Buenos Aires S.A. (MERVAL)

2017

Launch of the Corporate Governance Panel in its two levels, +GC and CC.

Agreement for the launch of S&P indices.

Incorporation of short selling and securities lending.

2019

Guide and Regulations for the SVS Bond Listing (Social, Green, and Sustainable Bonds Panel=

Launch of BYMA LISTADAS.

Launch of Market Makers program for S&P Merval Index Futures.

2020

Development of EPYME Platform, reactivated the process of payment of deferred payment checks and other instruments for SMEs.

2021

Launch of ANIMA, state-of-the-art traiding platform focused on the investing public.

Launch of the Sustainability-Linked Bond Panel.

Introduction of Argentine Depositary Receipts (CEDEARs) on ETFs that replicate indices from different sectors and regions.

2023

How is BYMA's Board of Directors composed?

BYMA's Board of Directors comprises regular members and an equal number of alternates. These individuals are appointed by the Shareholders' Meeting for a three-year term and can be re-elected indefinitely.

Who are the Members of the Audit Committee?

The Company's auditing will be performed by a Supervisory Committee of three regular members and three alternates (who replace their respective members). Appointed by the Shareholders' Meeting for a one-fiscal-year term, they are eligible for indefinite re-election.
