BYMA was created under Law 26.831 of the Capital Markets Act.
It was created as a continuation of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange.

(MERVAL) implemented a reorganization under the terms of Section 77 of the Income Tax Law, proceeding to the partial spin-off of its assets to create a new entity: Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos S. A. "BYMA", which will continue the activity of MERVAL.A. "BYMA", which is the continuation of MERVAL's activity, with the particularity that in the incorporation of the new entity BYMA, the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange has been incorporated as a shareholder.
