BYMA, Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos, announces the automatic Day Trading bonus for all transactions in Stocks and CEDEARs. The Day Trading bonus will be 35% for Shares transactions and 30% for CEDEARs transactions. This benefit will apply to those purchase and sale transactions in variable income securities executed in the same session, of the same kind and with the same settlement date, executed by an Agent and on behalf of a single principal. In this way, all agents and investors that are part of the Capital Market will benefit, generating a decrease in trading costs and promoting trading, while minimizing the operational burden. How will the Day Trading bonus be applied?
- The bonus will be applied equally to all participants: agents and investors. It will be 35% on Equity trades and 30% on CEDEARs trades.
- As part of the automation, BYMA will calculate the bonus for all brokers and make the reduction automatically. Agents will be responsible for passing this benefit on to their investors.
- In all cases, the bonus will be applied on the maximum amount of nominals needed to match both buy and sell items, valued by their corresponding weighted average price, resulting from taking all the arranged buy items on the one hand, and all the sell items, on the other hand.
In this regard, BYMA's President, Ernesto Allaria, explained: "Since its inception, BYMA has been working towards a central commitment: to enhance the trading conditions of the different participants in the Capital Markets, with a focus on retail investors. We are constantly planning and carrying out concrete initiatives to bring the market closer to society as a whole, promoting the access of new investors." And he added: "We accompany announcements of this kind with a solid financial education strategy throughout the country, which is framed within our BYMA EDUCA program and implemented through the Argentine Capital Market Institute."
