BYMA celebrates the ninth edition of the Bell Ring for Gender Equality

Within the framework of "International Women's Day", BYMA -Argentine Stock Exchanges and Markets- with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), UN Women and Global Compact; will hold the ninth edition of the "Bell Ring for Gender Equality" in Argentina. On March 7 at 9 AM (Argentine time), a day will be held to promote gender equality. Under the title "For women and girls: rights, equality and empowerment", this event will bring together experts and leaders from the sector with the objective of promoting inclusion, reflecting, sharing and strengthening equality. The initiative will take place on March 7 virtually, is open and free of charge. In addition to the traditional Bell Ring, a space will be developed for dialogue on innovation for gender equality, promoting inclusion. This space seeks to reflect on the active participation of women in the financial world and to promote concrete actions by companies. It will include the participation of Sofia Guidotti, Country Manager in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay of Amazon Web Services and the event will be moderated by Agustina Foa Torres, Innovation Manager at BYMA and Managing Partner of BYX Ventures.

What is the Bell Ringing about?

The action, known internationally as "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality", is promoted by the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative with the objective of raising awareness of the fundamental role that the private sector can play in advancing gender equality to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
