BYMA incorporates 3 stock futures and CEDears for trading

BYMA introduces 3 new equity futures for trading: stock and CEDEAR futures. These are GGAL stock futures, SPY CEDEars futures and MELI CEDEARS futures. Trading these instruments on BYMA involves benefits in terms of coverage, as well as guarantee and liquidation thanks to the centralization of the operation. In BYMA, you can trade futures and shares. In other words, each of the new futures as its respective underlying stock, which implies hedging against asset variations, which translates into more alternatives for risk management. In turn, it is possible to liquidate everything in BYMA, allowing the available assets and funds to be used to cover positions. The Mark to Market (the daily settlement and compensation of profits and losses) is networked with the rest of the liquidation. These instruments are traded on BYMA platforms that have the technological standards of the most advanced markets.

The instruments will be available for trading on September 12/09:

• GGAL Stock Futures
• MELI CedEars Futures
• SPY CedEars Futures

All of them expire on the last business day of the current month. The novelty includes a Market Makers program for BYMA member agents responsible for providing liquidity in the contracts on which they operate. The objective is to improve price formation, reduce transaction costs, increase the liquidity of the derivatives market and increase the volume of Stock Futures and Cedears contracts.
