BYMA presented the 2022 Sustainability Report

BYMA presented its 2022 Sustainability Report in which it discloses the 2022 performance of its sustainable management with a central focus: to collaborate with the sustainable development of Argentina.

The report details actions, programs and financial and non-financial results of the management of BYMA, Caja de Valores, Instituto Argentino de Mercado de Capitales and Tecnología de Valores; and is aligned with the GRI, TCFD and SASB Standards, positioning BYMA as a company that abides by the highest standards.

The actions focused on continuous improvement in environmental, social and corporate governance matters. And also, in generating the conditions for sustainability to be a fact in the local Capital Market, as well as strategic alliances to enhance the impact.

‍BYMA's Corporate Governance and Sustainability Manager, Julieta Artal Conte, stated: "Sustainability has been at the core of BYMA's activity since day one, and today we present our fifth sustainability report. Every year we incorporate pioneering developments for the local market that create conditions for greater transparency and sustainable finances in Argentina."

About the Report

This is the fifth Sustainability Report prepared by the Stock Exchange, using the sustainability guidelines that are a global reference. It accounts for the performance of all the companies: Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos, Caja de Valores, Instituto Argentino de Mercado Capitales and Tecnología de Valores.

• FINANCIAL CAPITAL:
  ‍We develop our management in a transparent and efficient manner, in pursuit of generating value for shareholders and society. - Average daily traded volume grew to ARS 395,352 million, representing an increase of 122% with respect to 2021.- A historical net result of ARS 22,880.5 million. Custody volume increased by 73% measured in market value, with respect to the previous year.
• CAPITAL INDUSTRIAL:
  ‍We fostered a trusting and close relationship with our various stakeholders. - Reorganized service channels for the support of internal and external audiences.. Implementation of applications to reduce the environmental impact by means of digital entry of procedures, online consultation of positions and the inherent management of custody and registration through computer platforms. - Training on issues related to the security of the company's information. Training on information security issues for employees in different areas.
• INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL:
  ‍We work to contribute value to the economy and society through an efficient and innovative Capital Market that generates investment and impact financing. - The fourth rebalancing of the Sustainability Index was carried out. BYMA stood out among the 20 issuers with the best practices - The year ended with a total of 38 marketable securities labeled in the True and Sustainable Social Bond Panel. BYMA granted a bonus of more than $5,800,000 to promote this financing alternative and launched the Sustainability-Linked Bonds Panel. SME Financing: Electronic Promissory Notes had a 496% growth and the Electronic Credit Invoice grew by 216%, compared to 2021.- Within the framework of innovation and digitalization, BYX Ventures, the Corporate Venture Capital fund to invest in entrepreneurs focused on new technologies, was launched.
• HUMAN CAPITAL:
  ‍We ensure the reliability of the services we offer in the capacity and professionalism of the people who make up our work team. - 393 employees- Launching of the Equality Policy: new breastfeeding space, Maternity Leave with gradual return, extended Paternity Leave, Action Protocol for Intrafamily Gender Violence, training, among other actions. Work model Experiencia Flex.- Professional development: scholarships and benefits for training in leading universities. 21 employees changed functions and continued accompanying the organization in new roles.
• Social Capital:
  ‍We are committed to the social reality, and contribute from our place to sustainable development. - Through the Private Social Investment Program, 30 social organizations were accompanied through 3 axes: health, nutrition and education, achieving an impact on more than 11 thousand people. As part of the BYMAEDUCA program, which seeks to enhance society's knowledge of the Capital Markets, more than 35 meetings were held with more than 1,000 participants.
• NATURAL CAPITAL:
  ‍We continue working to minimize environmental impact. - Obtaining the Green Seal for Sustainable Management granted by the GCBA: 4,622 kg of materials used in BYMA's offices were recycled, 1,600 kg of paper, 172 kg of plastic and 2,895 kg of technological waste. Carbon Footprint measurement: a plan was designed to progressively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and BYMA's non-avoided emissions were offset.- Disclosure and analysis of risks and opportunities arising from climate change in accordance with the TCFD (Task Force On Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) initiative to improve and enhance climate-related financial reporting.
