BYMA receives visit from B3 executives


The meeting took place within the framework of the strategic alliance between both markets. Together with the President of BYMA, top authorities of the Brazilian stock exchange participated: the President, the Vice President of Products and Clients, and the General Director of Market Development Latin America.
Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos S.A. (BYMA) was visited this afternoon by the authorities of B3, one of the main financial market infrastructure companies in the world, with operations in the stock exchange and over-the-counter environment.Within the framework of the strategic alliance that both markets have maintained since April, B3's President, Gilson Finkelsztain, the Vice President of Products and Clients, Juca Andrade, and the General Director of Market Development Latin America and Director of BYMA, Roberto Belchior, were together with BYMA's President, Ernesto Allaria, and authorities. They reviewed the key points towards growth and reaffirmed their objective of working collaboratively in the development of the region's markets. During the meeting, the authorities announced the projects to be implemented in the short and medium term, such as the launching of the Futures Peso-Real and Bovespa Index contract.[URIS id=7326]In this regard, B3's President, Gilson Filkelsztain, said: "It is a satisfaction for B3 to act in partnership with BYMA and to be able to offer a solid and credible infrastructure for the negotiation of futures contracts. We are working so that this alliance grows and that the region can increasingly attract international investments, given the great potential it has."BYMA's President, Ernesto Allaria, said: "We believe that Argentina and the region have a great growth potential, and that an articulated work between markets will maximize the access of international investors, incorporating new variables to the equation". And he added: "We seek to grow this alliance with B3, which allowed us to open a new futures market and trade in PUMA. With satisfactory results, the goal is to match the daily traded volume of shares."
