2022 was a year of evolution for BYMA. The organizational structure was updated to accompany the professional development of employees and the growth of the business. The focus is to meet the upcoming challenges, maintaining the leadership position, defining new roles within the organization and reconfiguring others.

Organizational news during 2022

In November, the creation of 3 new Management Departments was announced, which are key players in BYMA's activity for its upcoming projects.

  • Maria José Del Boca became head of Product Management. She is 30 years old, has a degree in Public Accounting and a Master in Finance.
  • Agustina Foa Torres is now in charge of Innovation Management. She is 30 years old and is a Certified Public Accountant and Master in Finance.
  • Sergio Schmid was promoted to lead DevOps Management. He has a degree in Business from CAECE.
  • These are three professionals who have stood out for their goal planning and commitment to results, with a great dedication to process improvement and leadership skills.

In May of this year Gonzalo Pascual Merlo assumed the role of CEO of BYMA to lead the initiatives that drive technological innovation, business integration and its evolution and positioning in the Argentine market. Aged 33, the executive has worked in the organization since 2016 and previously served as Markets Manager.

New opportunities in the organization

In 2022, 58 new collaborators joined BYMA, resulting in a team that is currently composed of almost 400 people. Of all the new hires, almost 40% are from IT sectors.

In addition, as part of the Internal Search Program, employees have the possibility of rotating to vacant or new positions. During this year, 21 employees changed functions and continue to accompany the organization in new roles.

Education and training of talent

BYMA carries out its BYMA EDUCA Program, which internally includes training and scholarships to promote the development of talent. Employees can access with benefits to undergraduate and graduate training at leading universities. In 2022, more than 14 people participated in these proposals.

At the same time, they have the opportunity to take part in all the educational offerings of the Argentine Institute of Capital Markets, BYMA's educational organization, completely free of charge. People also have a training program on the market activity called Encuentros BYMA, whose objective is to provide them with in-depth knowledge of the company's business and its possibilities.

Articulation with institutions

Aditionally, BYMA has an Internship Program, of which more than 13 young people took part this year. This is an initiative for university students to gain their first work experience in the world of finance, economics and capital markets. This program has a tutor for each student, training opportunities and the possibility of learning what is done in the different sectors of the Group.

BYMA also maintains a partnership with Teamcubation to provide job opportunities for developers in their training stage. There are 6 positions covered as part of this modality. And the organization participates in the GCBA's Internship Program for students to make their first approach to the corporate world.

Working conditions that promote autonomy

2021 left countless lessons learned about the way of working. Since last year, BYMA has been applying its #ExperienciaFlex work model. The proposal includes multiple initiatives to improve the experience of all people when working with a focus on autonomy, flexibility and a hybrid on-site model that combines time in the office with remote work.
