New modifications to the S&P/BYMA family of indexes

As part of the methodological changes to be made to the S&P/BYMA Índice General, S&P Merval andS&P Merval Argentina, as of the mid-March rebalancing, S&P DJI and BYMA (Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos) decided to discontinue the S&P/BYMA BURCAP and S&P MERVAL 25 indexes. The objective is to leverage the main indexes most widely followed by the Argentine market and to rationalize the S&P/BYMA index family.

As a result from next March 1, S&P DJI will cease end-of-day and real-time calculation of the aforementioned indices.

It is important to highlight that as a benefit of this alliance, work has already begun on the analysis of new co-branded indices that we will inform in due course.

This development is part of the alliance and transformation process that BYMA undertook together with S&P Dow Jones Indices.
