BYMAEDUCA introduces new free online course: Basic Finance

BYMAEDUCA, BYMA's financial education program, presents its new introductory training course Basic Finances. It is free, online and starts in April.

This is a proposal for those who want to learn in a simple way the basic concepts of personal finance that will allow them to later cover the concepts of savings and investments, with the help of market specialists. It will be held over 4 classes, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM, starting on April 9.

The classes will be held live and participants will be provided with study materials. Those who meet the attendance requirements will receive a BYMA certificate.

What topics will be covered?

• LECTURE 1 - Tuesday, April 9- Why and what for personal finance - Core concepts: types of income and expenses. Budgeting- Inflation, interest rates and exchange rates- Technology and Personal Finance: the Apps that can help us- Income and Debt: some relevant concepts- Emergency funds and insurance
• ENTER 2 | Thursday, April 11- Time value of money, present value, opportunity cost and interest rates- Interest rates: what they are and how to use them: TNA, TEM, TEA- Income, savings and investment: relevant variables- What is the capital market and how does it help us?
• ENTER 3 | Tuesday, April 16- Investment alternatives: banks and market- Investment psychology- Risk: definition and its measurement- Mutual Funds: the ABC- Stocks, Cedear, public bonds, negotiable obligations, surety bonds: concepts, differences and risks
• ENTER 4 | Thursday, April 18- How do I start investing? Sources of information for my finances - How do I track my investments? Taxes: knowing them can be very useful
