BYMA introduces two new indexes for the Argentine market

BYMA presents two new indexes for the Argentine market: the BYMA Dollar Index and the BYMA CCL Index. They are prepared based on each day's transactions arranged at Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos.

The "BYMA Dollar Index" represents the implicit parity in asset transactions traded to be settled in pesos together with those agreed to be settled in MEP Dollars in the Argentine financial system; while the "CCL BYMA Index" will be representing the trades traded in assets with quotation in pesos together with those to be settled in dollars in foreign accounts, denominated Cash settled dollar (CCL).

The "BYMA Dollar Index" and the "BYMA CCL Index" will be published daily at the close of business at BYMA and will be available as of today on the website www.byma.com.ar and on BYMA's social networks @bymaoficial.

The indices are supported in their construction by the transparent price architecture with real-time monitoring of all the trading venues authorized by BYMA to settle in local and foreign currency.

The business habitat formed, regulated and controlled by BYMA has become the local environment where the largest number of intermediaries representing a significant number of investors concur on a daily basis, thus producing the largest number of transactions executed and volumes traded. This convergence of supply and demand makes it possible for the determination of the implicit parities shown by each index to become reliable, accurate and uniform statistical records over time.

With the incorporation of the new indexes, the Stock Exchange intends to provide the local market with tools for multiple activities and transactions carried out daily with these benchmark securities.

On the launching, the CEO of BYMA, Gonzalo Pascual Merlo, expressed:"We understand the importance for Argentines to have an univocal and reliable reference of the value of the dollar in the country, thus enabling the construction of agreements and contracts that take this reference. We consider that it is our role to provide this key information due to our long experience in the construction of indexes that are a market reference, because they are built with robust methodologies that are leveraged on our permanent commitment with the formation of transparent and representative prices. We always seek to minimize information asymmetry and improve the quality of information." And remarked: "This step aims to continue contributing value to Argentina's development, in line with our purpose of transforming investment into work and development."
